Huehnerhoff Lots of clouds to start the night. Power failure at 04:37 MST generator kicked on after 15 seconds. While clouded out, cloudy night tasks started. The first was to look into the SPICAM artifact found by Jack. This was done by taking flats in several different filters. Reduction an analysis of images show that the artifact is not due to filters, exposure times, or the lamp used. The remainder of the night was spent on the DIS Linearity tests with the Red CCD heater on. After the snow started the roof heaters were turned on and around midnight MST the snow program was initiated. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 38 31 11 264 (W) 1326 cloudy none 17:00 36 32 11 227 (SW) 1440 cloudy humid 18:00 35 32 10 204 (SSW) 1603 cloudy lt rain 19:00 33 32 2 122 (ESE) 3912 cloudy lt rain 20:00 36 31 17 211 (SSW) 1407 cloudy lt rain 21:00 36 31 12 183 (S) 1472 cloudy lt rain 22:00 32 32 9 183 (S) 1335 cloudy snow 23:00 31 31 8 185 (S) 3475 cloudy snow 00:00 31 31 11 218 (SW) 13660 cloudy snow 01:00 32 32 15 183 (S) 11703 cloudy snow 02:00 30 30 6 260 (W) 473 cloudy humid 03:00 31 31 11 232 (SW) 104 cloudy humid 04:00 31 30 7 307 (NW) 93 cloudy humid 05:00 30 28 11 304 (NW) 616 ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
