In the meantime several commands were sent and buffered, which took additional time to clear. a axis stop and stop button didn't clear the buffer either and I just had to wait for all the commands to process thru. I saw several LTA7 port errors as well. I could not command the telescope while all the previous commands were buffered (tcc axis stop still showed the telescope as tracking, the stop button did show stop button, but also telescope was tracking). Things finally cleared out around 03:06. It was cloudy so no sky time was lost but it was annoying waiting for the commands to clear out. Apparently Tertpoint is broke again. I manually fixed pointing tonight on NA2, it was off a bit for some reason. Tertpoint didn't work (see problem above). Don reported popinting much improved. I adjusted the imcenter in the .dat file for DIS tonight. It has been located above the slit recently and needed adjustment. DIS blue ion pump again about 4-5LED lit above tape this morning. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:40 dis-slit -28( -152) 79 40 3.2 5.0 3.9 4.2 4.0 -- 1.60 21:09 dis-slit -14( -257) -39 68 3.2 3.2 3.5 2.5 3.1 -- 0.76 21:16 NA2gdr -3102(18897) 36 43 2.4 3.2 3.3 2.3 2.9 R 0.88 22:50 dis-slit 81( -171) 11 48 3.1 2.6 3.0 1.8 2.7 -- 1.20 22:52 NA2gdr 282(22282) 10 48 3.2 2.7 3.1 1.8 2.7 clear 0.98 00:10 dis-slit 118( -136) 4 52 3.1 2.7 3.0 1.9 2.7 -- 1.49 00:14 NA2gdr 1260(23260) 2 52 3.2 2.7 3.0 1.9 2.7 R 0.85 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 41 9 5 294 (WNW) 1233 ptly cldy none 17:00 37 12 4 262 (W) 1189 ptly cldy none 18:00 38 4 5 357 (N) 874 ptly cldy none 19:00 38 11 9 302 (WNW) 1095 mstly cldy none 20:00 38 14 10 277 (W) 1247 ptly cldy none 21:00 38 16 8 261 (W) 1537 ptly cldy none 22:00 37 16 6 259 (W) 1368 ptly cldy none 23:00 39 9 11 264 (W) 1043 mstly clr none 00:00 37 11 11 273 (W) 980 mstly clr none 01:00 37 11 9 265 (W) 1078 ptly cldy none 02:00 37 14 11 301 (WNW) 1143 ptly cldy none 03:00 36 14 10 309 (NW) 1208 ptly cldy none 04:00 34 14 6 340 (NNW) 1272 ptly cldy none 05:00 35 12 8 353 (N) 1208 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 12 7 1 (N) 1413 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
