The clouds were thick enough to obscure Vega and Jupiter was coming and going. Over the rest of the night conditions only worsened; overcast skies, high winds over 50 mph, and high dust levels. At 3:40 am our power went out completely and the generator kicked on. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 43 24 16 204 (SSW) 968 mstly cldy none 17:00 46 20 20 215 (SW) 804 mstly cldy none 18:00 41 20 22 210 (SSW) 998 mstly cldy none 19:00 45 20 29 208 (SSW) 2646 cloudy none 20:00 46 12 24 221 (SW) 2096 cloudy none 21:00 44 19 28 205 (SSW) 3539 cloudy none 22:00 43 20 34 214 (SW) 2855 cloudy none 23:00 42 24 25 218 (SW) 2241 cloudy none 00:00 41 25 34 215 (SW) 3019 cloudy none 01:00 40 26 23 210 (SSW) 2715 cloudy none 02:00 39 24 46 229 (SW) 1376 cloudy none 03:00 38 24 34 218 (SW) 2420 cloudy none 04:00 37 24 45 224 (SW) 2392 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
