We were able to open just at midnight as the edge of the cloud system approached, and the visiting instrument team got a little data at high airmass and poor seeing. For second half, seeing started out poor and improved somewhat, but a chunk of time in the middle of the morning was unusable due to clouds even though the telescope stayed open. Everything worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:05 NAIC 150( 343) -125 39 2.6 4.3 4.0 3.6 3.4 7000 1.30 01:11 dis-slit 97( -123) 8 48 2.8 3.3 3.4 2.6 2.8 - 1.70 ---------------- WEATHER LOG --------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 40 28 17 294 (WNW) 596 mstly cldy none 17:00 40 33 10 293 (WNW) 659 mstly cldy none 18:00 38 33 8 285 (WNW) 734 cloudy none 19:00 37 34 6 276 (W) 737 cloudy lt rain 20:00 35 35 9 346 (NNW) 651 cloudy humid 21:00 37 33 11 315 (NW) 616 cloudy none 22:00 37 31 6 346 (NNW) 288 cloudy none 23:00 37 32 16 327 (NNW) 416 ptly cldy none 00:00 37 32 6 356 (N) 612 mstly clr none 01:00 37 32 21 344 (NNW) 612 mstly clr none 02:00 37 31 5 337 (NNW) 642 mstly clr none 03:00 38 31 15 30 (NNE) 576 ptly cldy none 04:00 37 31 2 257 (WSW) 640 ptly cldy none 05:00 36 31 11 339 (NNW) 618 mstly clr none 06:00 36 30 11 340 (NNW) 549 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
