Eventually the sky cleared, humidity dropped below closure limits and nearby radar returns disappeared, so I opened at 2:30am. Gathered useful data until 5:00am when humidity suddenly rose and clouds returned, upon which I closed, and conditions stayed humid through twilight. No telescope or instrument problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:56 NICFPS -125( 253) 43 45 1.4 3.2 3.2 1.8 2.2 1.40 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 53 41 22 214 (SW) 788 ptly cldy none 17:00 52 41 21 200 (SSW) 791 mstly cldy none 18:00 47 37 21 236 (SW) 1526 cloudy humid 19:00 39 38 20 313 (NW) 74 cloudy lt rain 20:00 40 40 13 295 (WNW) 1201 cloudy rain 21:00 40 40 20 259 (W) 458 cloudy rain 22:00 37 37 9 262 (W) 1441 cloudy rain 23:00 35 34 20 262 (W) 657 cloudy lt rain 00:00 37 32 17 268 (W) 788 cloudy humid 01:00 36 33 15 282 (WNW) 826 mstly cldy humid 02:00 37 32 15 275 (W) 805 mstly clr none 03:00 36 31 15 259 (W) 1022 mstly clr none 04:00 35 31 16 247 (WSW) 1148 clear none 05:00 34 32 15 237 (WSW) 1156 ptly cldy humid 06:00 34 34 12 254 (WSW) 10380 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
