Saurage, J.Huehnerhoff Mostly clear to start of the night with variable seeing the remainder of the night. Instability in tracking after an offset is causing science images to appear trailed. This occurred frequently during NICFPS dither script offsetting causing the first two images of every six image sequence to be unusable. While guiding on target for approximtely 25 minutes two servo errors occurred. The first was in azimuth at UT 07:53:15 (323.9 degrees). The other was altitude at UT 07:55:47 (68.4 degrees). Around UT 11:01:28 there was a noticable jump in guiding that caused the science image to become unusable. This occurred between NA2 guider image 1885 and 1886. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:19 NICFPS 93( 811) 250 68 9.2 10.5 9.9 9.8 9.7 MK-H 1.24 19:27 NA2gdr -2880(40119) 250 66 9.4 10.4 9.9 9.6 9.7 R 0.94 22:53 NICFPS 48( 711) 241 26 7.9 8.3 8.5 7.7 8.1 MK-H 1.10 01:21 SPICAM 54( 230) 345 72 6.7 6.7 7.0 6.1 6.5 r' 0.73 06:04 APOLLO 125( 777) 70 59 5.1 5.0 5.3 4.4 4.9 530nm 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 50 33 25 212 (SSW) 842 ptly cldy none 17:00 53 35 25 234 (SW) 1043 ptly cldy none 18:00 50 34 17 244 (WSW) 1040 ptly cldy none 19:00 49 30 24 228 (SW) 750 clear none 20:00 48 28 17 247 (WSW) 693 clear none 21:00 49 30 14 260 (W) 990 mstly clr none 22:00 48 29 21 237 (WSW) 729 mstly clr none 23:00 46 30 21 241 (WSW) 722 clear none 00:00 45 32 16 260 (W) 782 clear none 01:00 44 33 16 254 (WSW) 917 clear none 02:00 43 34 11 256 (WSW) 959 clear none 03:00 42 35 10 267 (W) 1002 clear none 04:00 42 35 12 300 (WNW) 1010 clear none 05:00 42 35 10 280 (W) 953 clear none 06:00 42 35 12 274 (W) 919 clear none TELESCOPE STATUS Telescope drives operational.
