SPIcam throughput measurements. Data located in /export/images/Q4APO/UT091002/throuoghput/spicam/... (yes, I mispelled throughput!) DIS throughput measurements. Data located in /export/images/Q4APO/UT091002/throughput/dis/... Tert Piston Tests for -2500, -2250, -2000, -1750, -1500 Separate email sent to Bill K. 06:55:39 Read timed out on port LTA4 (controller error on Alt, not responding). I couldn't seem to log into talk2boxes and talk to the controller (Controller is not Available). I think it was in the midst of rebooting itself. I hit a top button and let it sit for a few minutes and it came back online automatically when I restarted the drives. Collimation looked good (no adjustment made) scat doesn't seem to be working anymore on OBS1 to lookup stars. Results ------- Goodness of fit 1.00 Defoc: Move M2 towards M1 by .003 mm SA3: move focal plane outwards by .000 mm Coma3: decenter M2N1 by .123 mm and Bak by .009 mm eAuriga (both Echelle and TSPEC) Data can be found in /export/images/Q4APO/UT091002/eAuriga/... 11:04:34 Controller error (not responding) agin on Alt. Looked similiar to what I saw happen earlier with the same read timed out on port LTA4. I stopped the drives and then re-init after a couple mins. I aborted at image 1434 on the eAuriga TSPEC images. Re-slewed, re-acquired and restarted the nod sequence again. A few images before this may be bad. The NoIllum calibrations had the vacuum pump lamp on (I didn't know how to turn it off). I took a second set with the eyelid closed (NoIllum_eyelid_closed. The BrQrtz flats also had the vacuum pump lamp on. No tracking problems with TSPEC slitviewer while boresight guiding. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:52 SPICAM 99( 515) -71 43 11.2 11.0 11.2 10.4 10.9 V 1.00 19:54 NA2gdr -478(29521) -71 43 10.9 11.0 11.2 10.5 10.9 clear 0.91 22:05 dis-slit 119(260) 216 38 10.7 10.3 10.6 9.6 10.1 -- 1.23 22:08 NA2gdr 1685(23685) 216 38 10.6 10.3 10.7 9.6 10.2 R 0.96 22:48 GUIDER 282( 650) -42 50 10.5 10.2 10.7 9.9 10.3 R+ND2 0.76 01:31 SHACK -200( 662) 20 57 9.4 9.3 9.6 8.5 9.2 -- 0.80 02:15 ECHELLE -118(-763) 121 52 9.7 9.0 9.3 8.2 8.9 ND3 0.90 03:12 TSPEC 133( 457) 124 64 9.4 8.6 8.8 7.6 8.3 Ks 0.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 53 11 5 304 (NW) 1221 clear none 17:00 54 12 12 301 (WNW) 1134 clear none 18:00 54 13 13 277 (W) 1212 clear none 19:00 51 12 15 269 (W) 1176 clear none 20:00 52 13 14 268 (W) 1364 clear none 21:00 51 14 15 269 (W) 1444 clear none 22:00 51 14 10 260 (W) 1515 clear none 23:00 51 15 12 243 (WSW) 1736 clear none 00:00 50 15 9 263 (W) 1730 clear none 01:00 50 12 12 264 (W) 1325 clear none 02:00 49 11 19 271 (W) 1160 clear none 03:00 47 10 12 275 (W) 1114 clear none 04:00 49 8 9 265 (W) 979 clear none 05:00 48 9 9 263 (W) 1053 clear none 06:00 47 9 10 267 (W) 1228 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
