Anjum reported that her images seemed to drift a little (5 pixels) while we were guiding. The NA2 guider seemed pretty well locked onto the star and I couldn't see much drift, when she reported it to me, in the last 100 guider images. We were tracking on her object almost all night and I did see some larger errors when I did a dump of the alt magna sensors, but nothing that large, maybe +/- 20 arc sec max. These size errors were across several magna sensors though (when we moved later). Puzzling while the guide star seemed to not move in the guide frame but she saw movement in the instrument. We did have autofocus running tongiht as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:19 AGILE -50( -733) -8 62 -0.5 0.3 -0.0 -0.5 -0.5 BG40 1.06 18:20 NA2gdr 2048(11000) -8 62 -0.4 0.3 -0.0 -0.5 -0.5 clear 0.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 32 5 14 332 (NNW) 904 clear none 17:00 31 4 11 346 (NNW) 804 clear none 18:00 31 4 15 6 (N) 725 clear none 19:00 31 4 14 339 (NNW) 708 clear none 20:00 29 3 20 13 (NNE) 625 clear none 21:00 30 5 24 8 (N) 489 clear none 22:00 28 5 9 4 (N) 488 clear none 23:00 27 5 13 9 (N) 648 clear none 00:00 26 8 17 16 (NNE) 794 clear none 01:00 26 9 20 19 (NNE) 518 clear none 02:00 26 8 18 32 (NNE) 560 clear none 03:00 27 5 29 20 (NNE) 344 clear none 04:00 29 -4 23 27 (NNE) 723 clear none 05:00 29 -12 22 15 (NNE) 613 clear none 06:00 30 -16 12 22 (NNE) 464 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
