Observing Specialists: G.Saurage
Fog and/or high humidity all night.
During checkout NICFPS was not responding to test exposures. Discovered it was not
connected, I had to restart ICS program. Normal darks after that.
At UT08:56:52 we had a rotator controller error while my observer was taking flats
at different rotator positions. It would not respond to axis inits. Logged into
talk2boxes. The RS232 was hung. Tried to reboot the controller with a reset, but
didn't seem to be working. Called Fritz. He discovered telrun was hung. Stopping and
starting that, with re-inits and such brought it back.
Opened at 03:55 MT, but humidity soon came up past limits again. Struggled to focus,
then NA2 guider would not move focus position, I could expose but not move the
stage. gmech could not be connected. I power-cycled gcam, ,logged into talk2boxes
and seemed to be alive, but TUI continued to state: gmechConnState='Failed',"host is
unreachable"
Never could focus gcam.
