After a south-facing sunny afternoon the snow on the dome was mostly clear but humidity was still very high for a few hours at dusk. High winds caused some blowing snow but temperatures remained cold. First half seeing was not good and we had some struggling with guiding due to the high gusts, but we persisted. Winds calmed down second half and seeing improved some. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:23 dis-slit -111(-685) 65 61 -5.4 -3.7 -3.2 -5.0 -5.6 2.00 00:34 NICFPS -65( -77) 115 73 -3.3 -4.3 -3.7 -4.6 -3.6 H 1.39 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 23 19 6 31 (NNE) 310 clear none 17:00 23 20 2 3 (N) 317 clear none 18:00 21 18 23 31 (NNE) 257 clear none 19:00 21 14 27 23 (NNE) 175 clear none 20:00 24 2 29 27 (NNE) 191 clear none 21:00 24 0 21 41 (NE) 188 clear none 22:00 23 4 15 9 (N) 169 clear none 23:00 26 -6 28 31 (NNE) 139 clear none 00:00 24 -3 26 11 (N) 148 clear none 01:00 27 -10 21 11 (N) 135 clear none 02:00 29 -12 15 19 (NNE) 124 clear none 03:00 31 -12 12 15 (NNE) 104 clear none 04:00 30 -10 12 11 (N) 124 clear none 05:00 30 -9 15 32 (NNE) 138 clear none 06:00 30 -10 12 12 (NNE) 116 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
