Nick came up and determined it was a bad gauge, but TSpec is offline until Monday when daycrew can investigate further. Humidity rose a few times but remained low enough to stay open and allowed the NMSU group to use the eyepiece, Echelle and NICFPS during first half. Second half was very productive as well. One momentary glitch with dcam where we got a vertical string of stars, see dcam0257. But the following image was fine. No telescope problems, tertiary moved twice nicely. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 21:08 ECHELLE -144(-628) -5 57 11.6 12.4 11.8 11.2 11.6 ND3 0.80 23:01 NICFPS -63( 713) 42 62 11.4 11.7 11.8 11.0 11.4 J 1.00 01:16 dis-slit -145(-28) -25 54 9.9 10.3 10.4 9.4 9.9 1.56 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 60 42 4 261 (W) 526 mstly clr none 17:00 60 44 10 248 (WSW) 554 mstly clr none 18:00 57 44 10 260 (W) 530 mstly clr none 19:00 51 47 16 134 (SE) 663 mstly clr none 20:00 50 44 13 128 (SE) 633 mstly clr none 21:00 52 43 6 221 (SW) 408 mstly clr none 22:00 54 42 9 221 (SW) 856 mstly clr none 23:00 52 42 7 182 (S) 1002 clear none 00:00 52 42 6 170 (S) 950 clear none 01:00 50 41 4 128 (SE) 660 clear none 02:00 53 41 5 183 (S) 1127 clear none 03:00 52 41 7 185 (S) 845 clear none 04:00 52 41 7 183 (S) 858 clear none 05:00 52 40 9 187 (S) 1007 clear none 06:00 50 40 6 181 (S) 750 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
