The dewpoint depression was within closure limits from 02:05 until morning. We never reopened. We had considerable problems with the DIS slitviewer guiding software. This was just a continuation of PR/868. Little time was lost while the camera was stopped and restarted. My first half observer had TUI lock up on him at UT04:20. No time was lost while he logged off and back on. The science exposure marched happily along during this problem. We had no cloud camera tonight. We could not get it started. John B. suspects it it a problem with camera or fiber converter at the instrument. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:57 dis-slit -171( 326) 71 27 13.3 17.1 15.7 16.0 12.9 -- 1.44 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 61 52 8 275 (W) clear none 17:00 59 49 5 341 (NNW) clear none 18:00 59 47 1 268 (W) clear none 19:00 57 45 5 346 (NNW) clear none 20:00 56 43 7 72 (ENE) clear none 21:00 57 43 6 78 (ENE) clear none 22:00 57 43 4 110 (ESE) clear none 23:00 56 42 4 259 (W) clear none 00:00 55 45 1 284 (WNW) clear none 01:00 56 44 1 235 (SW) clear humid 02:00 53 49 3 202 (SSW) mstly clr humid 03:00 54 49 2 283 (WNW) clear humid 04:00 53 51 6 267 (W) clear humid 05:00 53 49 10 330 (NNW) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
