Dembicky Az Velocity Scale 579.6, Was 577.0, changed 579.0 Alt Velocity scale -629.6, Was -623.0, changed -628.0 During checkout tonight I found the DIS slitwheel to be off by 1 slit (1.5 slit was actually 2.0, 2.0 was actually 0.9, etc.). I think that the slitwheel had moved during shutdown and had all the slits off. I re-homed the wheel and all was fine again. What I noticed was the slit masks didn't look right for the 1.5 arc sec slit (I actually noticed something strange Monday night but didn't get around to re-making all the masks until tonight). Also the threshold value in the mkdcammask script seems to have changed. Tonight I needed to use 0.9 which seemed a bit high. All slitmasks were re-done tonight and the slit wheel seems to now be placing the correct slit in place again. My guess is DIS got bumped during shutdown and the wheel was never re-homed until tonight when I discovered the problem. Clouds, humidity and rain tonight. I called it a night at 05:10. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 54 53 1 155 (SSE) 1137 cldy rain 19:00 53 53 7 183 (S) 1099 cldy rain 20:00 53 53 6 168 (SSE) 953 cldy rain 21:00 52 52 13 126 (SE) 950 cldy rain 22:00 52 51 10 109 (ESE) 1100 cldy humid 23:00 53 49 11 143 (SE) 1035 cldy none 00:00 52 50 9 163 (SSE) 1010 cldy none 01:00 52 49 9 184 (S) 511 cldy none 02:00 52 46 13 155 (SSE) 687 cldy none 03:00 52 46 7 175 (S) 635 cldy none 04:00 51 46 1 145 (SE) 660 cldy none 05:00 53 46 1 187 (S) 471 cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
