There was one occurance of the slitviewer locking up and requiring a restart of tcamera and tcam. Recovery was fast and no time was lost. Otherwise everything worked as expected under the marginal weather conditions. At 05:00 clouds became to thick to guide with the scheduled instrument and the observer called it a night. I was able however to use the last hour (mostly twilight) to mount, adjust the mechanical focus position and align fastcam at MB3 (aka TR3) port. I ran out of time for an instrument block due to cloud cover. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 21:04 TSPEC -200( 580) -122 51 15.7 17.6 17.5 16.8 15.9 Ks 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 65 47 5 268 (W) 3489 clear none 17:00 67 47 0 265 (W) 3074 clear none 18:00 67 46 8 17 (NNE) 1946 clear none 19:00 65 43 6 87 (E) 2679 clear none 20:00 61 43 12 88 (E) 2590 clear none 21:00 59 43 13 86 (E) 2806 clear none 22:00 58 43 14 90 (E) 2785 clear none 23:00 58 44 13 88 (E) 2852 clear none 00:00 58 44 14 95 (E) 2961 clear none 01:00 58 44 10 95 (E) 2957 clear none 02:00 57 45 9 111 (ESE) 2866 clear none 03:00 57 46 12 118 (ESE) 2441 clear none 04:00 55 47 8 97 (E) 2421 mstly cldy none 05:00 56 47 10 114 (ESE) 2359 mstly cldy none 06:00 57 47 6 88 (E) 2514 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
