Light rain in the evening. A sucker hole at midnight (I even tried opening, but stayed in the dome and closed within about five minutes when it was clear we couldn't get anything through the clouds.) Heavy rain again in the morning. In the morning I closed the valve feeding nitrogen to the echelle CCD, in preparation for trying to bake some contamination off the chip during the day. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 58 55 11 207 (SSW) 885 cloudy rain 17:00 53 50 15 58 (ENE) 526 cloudy rain 18:00 51 51 18 69 (ENE) 472 cloudy humid 19:00 52 50 13 73 (ENE) 395 cloudy humid 20:00 54 48 0 300 (WNW) 355 cloudy none 21:00 54 50 3 208 (SSW) 644 cloudy lt rain 22:00 55 49 5 195 (SSW) 682 cloudy none 23:00 54 49 6 101 (E) 679 mstly cldy none 00:00 54 47 6 179 (S) 535 mstly cldy none 01:00 53 48 13 134 (SE) 550 cloudy lt rain 02:00 53 52 16 149 (SSE) 1450 cloudy rain 03:00 53 52 14 234 (SW) 2446 cloudy rain 04:00 52 53 11 219 (SW) 6283 cloudy rain 05:00 50 50 12 183 (S) 4150 cloudy rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
