Dembicky Dust (Pollen) and wind kept us closed until 03:20. Just as I opened and got things going a couple site computers went down at around 03:23 (or maybe one key computer?). The computer outage knocked the outside connections out to APO (including TUI connections). TUI also was very sluggish in control from this end. We also lost our weather info, cloudcam displays, and access to galileo. I called Fritz and he looked into things from his end. He had me reboot galileo and said he would fix the nameserver when he got in in the morning (by this time is was 04:25 with only about 25 mins left before twilight). A few minutes later my observer was again able to log in but we were too close to twilight and the dust levels were again over the closure limit. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SAEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 71 17 31 229 (SW) 18291 mst. cldy dust 17:00 70 14 41 208 (SSW) 53824 mst. cldy dust 18:00 68 14 42 207 (SSW) 34099 mst. cldy dust 19:00 65 14 30 215 (SW) 30312 mst. cldy dust 20:00 63 13 34 226 (SW) 15460 mst. cldy dust 21:00 61 15 41 228 (SW) 9578 pt. cldy dust 22:00 58 15 31 238 (WSW) 7536 pt. cldy dust 23:00 57 17 23 253 (WSW) 4530 pt. cldy dust 00:00 54 17 18 256 (WSW) 4217 clear dust 01:00 53 14 19 247 (WSW) 3395 clear dust 02:00 52 11 29 264 (W) 3527 clear dust 03:00 50 10 23 241 (WSW) 2642 clear none 04:00 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
