We had lots of lightning but not much precip. Caused 2 fires. One was over at sunspot which they quickly put out. Another was a few miles away to our S. It could be seen from the observatory and appeared to have died somewhat by the time we finally were able to open. Fire deptartment was aware of both fires. We finally re-opened at 01:30 We tuned the drives, they looked very good and no changes were made. We took S-H collimation data. While Russet reduced the data, I run the DIS slitviewer to look for shutter problems. Looked fine. I had a few dis slitviewer lock ups tonight (same thing that happened last night with the TSpec slitviewer). It would say Guiding On-xxx-defering and freeze. I did notice (from last night as well) that when this happened it seemed there was a short waiting ( 1u per 0.1 cubic feet. TELESCOPE STATUS Telescope drives operational.
