Just after 01:00 we had a spontaneous rotator controller error. After halting and init-ing the axes, we slewed back to the field and discovered offsets were not working properly. Doing a control-click on the slitviewer caused the telescope to offset in the opposite direction. Fritz logged in and discovered the rotator lost its position when the error occurred. He reset the position and offsets moved correctly again. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PU04 D T/S 01:06 02:04 Rotator controller error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 20:44 dis-slit 144(657) 108 76 16.1 18.7 18.2 17.3 16.8 1.16 22:05 dis-slit 117(551) -64 70 17.1 17.1 17.5 16.8 17.1 1.04 02:58 dis-slit 44(421) -87 78 16.2 15.9 16.3 15.7 16.1 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 75 14 14 222 (SW) 978 mstly clr none 17:00 73 8 18 248 (WSW) 611 mstly clr none 18:00 70 9 26 259 (W) 932 clear none 19:00 68 9 14 266 (W) 1000 clear none 20:00 64 11 14 244 (WSW) 1087 mstly clr none 21:00 62 9 15 257 (WSW) 1082 mstly clr none 22:00 63 8 14 267 (W) 1158 mstly clr none 23:00 62 10 12 264 (W) 1129 ptly cldy none 00:00 62 7 9 246 (WSW) 1073 ptly cldy none 01:00 62 7 14 273 (W) 1156 mstly clr none 02:00 61 8 12 263 (W) 1193 clear none 03:00 61 8 12 274 (W) 1113 clear none 04:00 60 7 10 286 (WNW) 1277 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
