Dust levels slowly dropped during second half. We opened just before the start of second half. At 02:16 the observer lost connection for 10 minutes due to an internet outage. The on site network remained active during this time. At 04:30 we lost connection with offsite network again however we caught it quickly and I took over observations using instructions given to me over the phone by the user. I finished up the night with sky and dome flats. The offsite internet connect returned just before 07:00 No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CU06 D T/S 02:16 02:26 Internet outage ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 23:48 dis-slit -148( 5) -24 79 9.6 11.3 12.8 10.7 10.0 -- 1.83 23:54 NA2gdr -130(21869) -32 79 9.7 11.0 12.3 10.4 9.9 R+nd2 1.00 02:02 SPICAM -78( 184) 188 80 8.4 8.5 9.2 8.0 8.2 R 1.29 02:04 NA2gdr 1375(31375) 190 80 8.2 8.4 9.2 8.0 8.2 clear 1.27 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 62 16 30 256 (WSW) clear dust 17:00 63 17 38 258 (WSW) clear dust 18:00 61 16 41 257 (WSW) 7385 clear dust 19:00 59 13 38 258 (WSW) 7300 clear dust 20:00 56 10 31 243 (WSW) 7161 clear dust 21:00 55 9 25 269 (W) 6228 clear dust 22:00 54 7 27 263 (W) 8837 clear dust 23:00 52 6 15 264 (W) 7436 clear dust 00:00 50 4 16 268 (W) 6284 clear dust 01:00 49 5 12 270 (W) 4961 clear dust 02:00 48 2 17 270 (W) 4736 clear dust 03:00 47 2 24 269 (W) 4991 clear dust 04:00 46 3 20 275 (W) 4532 clear dust 05:00 45 5 18 264 (W) 4472 clear dust 06:00 45 7 16 262 (W) 4304 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
