Dembicky High dust, high wind, clouds, and humidity kept us closed all night. Never opened the mirror covers on the telescope, dust levels reached about 5K inside the dome with the press fans on. The humidity most likely kept them from actually running which explains the elevated inside dust levels. With conditions near or over closure conditions, and cloudy skies to boot, we gave up and called it a night at 04:25. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SAEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 43 12 31 267 (W) 20325 cldy dust 17:00 39 12 39 270 (W) 30934 cldy dust 18:00 38 17 21 295 (WNW) 16530 cldy dust 19:00 33 22 26 261 (W) 25800 cldy dust 20:00 31 18 20 261 (W) 8618 cldy dust 21:00 29 18 27 277 (W) 16459 cldy dust 22:00 28 17 17 263 (W) 6487 cldy dust 23:00 27 18 22 280 (W) 9974 cldy dust 00:00 26 19 21 271 (W) 6556 cldy dust 01:00 26 20 38 289 (WNW) 6489 cldy dust 02:00 25 19 20 272 (W) 4827 cldy dust 03:00 25 19 20 275 (W) 5032 cldy dust 04:00 24 19 23 271 (W) 5296 cldy dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
