Wind and dust kept us closed from 23:40 till 03:40. Mirror should be cleaned soon given the amount of sustained levels of dust tonight. 20:50 we switched to generator power after brief power loss. 04:10 switched back over to utility. Mirror covers failed to close in auto mode twice tonight. Closed them in manual. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:53 SPICAM -114( 81) 102 77 6.6 7.1 6.2 6.4 6.5 1.42 22:28 SPICAM 44(180) 118 61 5.9 5.8 6.4 5.2 5.6 1.57 02:41 dis-slit 121(-65) 254 62 3.5 4.3 5.2 3.9 3.7 1.45 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 51 10 28 256 (WSW) 2664 clear none 17:00 51 7 25 234 (SW) 2832 clear none 18:00 51 6 24 265 (W) 3227 clear dust 19:00 48 4 28 263 (W) 3116 clear dust 20:00 45 1 18 268 (W) 2869 clear dust 21:00 44 2 18 272 (W) 3809 clear dust 22:00 44 4 27 280 (W) 3320 clear dust 23:00 43 4 27 270 (W) 2717 mstly clr dust 00:00 42 7 21 285 (WNW) 2661 mstly clr none 01:00 41 10 32 277 (W) 2714 mstly clr none 02:00 40 11 31 286 (WNW) 2460 clear none 03:00 39 11 18 267 (W) 2298 clear none 04:00 38 11 17 272 (W) 2232 clear none 05:00 37 11 15 286 (WNW) 2089 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
