No change made. Dust and high winds kept us closed until a little after 22:00. Dust levels above closure limit all night but with the press fans on and louvers closed we were able to stay open for the rest of the night. The day staff should inspect the optics for CO2 cleaning again today. Seeing was horrific (> 3 arcseconds) all of second half. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 22:22 dis-slit -89( 18) -30 78 9.2 10.3 10.7 9.9 9.2 -- 1.87 00:19 dis-slit 163( 149) -75 62 7.5 7.8 8.5 7.5 7.6 -- 1.94 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 61 17 23 256 (WSW) 8943 mstly clr dust 17:00 60 15 26 268 (W) 12895 ptly cldy dust 18:00 60 15 35 257 (WSW) 13633 ptly cldy dust 19:00 25 258 (WSW) ptly cldy dust 20:00 53 9 25 255 (WSW) 9011 clear dust 21:00 52 8 32 242 (WSW) 6618 clear dust 22:00 50 8 25 240 (WSW) 6655 clear dust 23:00 49 9 23 252 (WSW) 5648 clear dust 00:00 48 12 23 236 (SW) 4224 clear dust 01:00 46 14 21 216 (SW) 4718 clear dust 02:00 45 13 22 228 (SW) 3462 ptly cldy dust 03:00 44 9 25 262 (W) 3518 ptly cldy dust 04:00 43 6 13 241 (WSW) 3465 ptly cldy dust 05:00 41 6 25 222 (SW) 2874 ptly cldy dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
