No change made. Dust levels above closure limit all night but with the press fans on and louvers closed we were able to stay open all night. The first slew after midnight uncovered a nasty time bug in the rotator controller. Fritz was called and he fixed the problem. Switching to Apollo this morning, the tertiary rotation failed. It failed again after the APOLLO time switching back to NA2. A dump of the logs will be sent to the daystaff. Rotation worked after a home of the E axis each time. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW07 D T/H 00:11 00:38 ControllerErr related to time DD01 A T/H 04:44 04:50 Tert Clamp failed to close ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:29 dis-slit -98( -86) 52 71 6.2 8.4 8.2 7.7 6.7 -- 1.21 00:13 dis-slit -10( -101) 252 62 6.8 6.2 6.6 5.4 6.1 -- 1.03 04:03 APOLLO 40( 917) 57 33 8.3 6.8 7.3 6.4 7.5 -- 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 53 5 13 250 (WSW) 3961 clear dust 17:00 52 5 10 263 (W) 3595 clear dust 18:00 51 4 12 263 (W) 2926 ptly cldy dust 19:00 47 0 11 221 (SW) 2706 mstly cldy dust 20:00 44 -2 8 193 (SSW) 2633 ptly cldy dust 21:00 44 -3 7 177 (S) 2745 mstly clr dust 22:00 43 -4 6 166 (SSE) 2710 ptly cldy dust 23:00 43 -2 8 179 (S) 2811 ptly cldy dust 00:00 44 -1 9 208 (SSW) 3666 ptly cldy dust 01:00 44 0 7 240 (WSW) 4217 ptly cldy dust 02:00 44 0 8 221 (SW) 3278 ptly cldy dust 03:00 46 0 3 224 (SW) 3294 mstly cldy dust 04:00 46 0 4 294 (WNW) 3244 mstly clr dust 05:00 46 2 9 322 (NW) 3263 mstly clr dust 06:00 47 2 4 268 (W) 3446 mstly clr dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
