Fritz investigated; seemed to be a glitch. Nothing really wrong, just need to be halted and cleared. Dust and wind kept us closed tonight. Dust levels were high in the afternoon and continued to be too high to open at sunset. Dust levels steadily rose higher and higher during the first half until just after 11pm when the winds picked up. Gusts were > 45mph and then dust levels shot up above 10K. After 3am dust levels began decreasing, bouncing below the limit, but wind gusts stayed 45-50mph the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 58 11 14 262 (W) 5270 mstly clr dust 17:00 52 7 13 296 (WNW) 5416 mstly clr dust 18:00 53 8 9 309 (NW) 5007 mstly clr dust 19:00 53 8 10 290 (WNW) 4834 mstly clr dust 20:00 50 5 6 3 (N) 4835 mstly clr dust 21:00 50 5 12 38 (NE) 5287 mstly clr dust 22:00 49 5 17 68 (ENE) 5721 ptly cldy dust 23:00 47 3 22 74 (ENE) 7372 ptly cldy dust 00:00 36 15 27 68 (ENE) 15753 ptly cldy dust 01:00 30 16 37 71 (ENE) 12844 ptly cldy dust 02:00 27 16 41 70 (ENE) 8190 ptly cldy dust 03:00 25 16 36 66 (ENE) 3854 mstly clr dust 04:00 25 14 38 68 (ENE) 2943 mstly clr dust 05:00 24 6 34 76 (ENE) 1909 mstly clr dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
