Dust levels in the dome were kept below the limits using the pressuration fans. Running the nicfps focus script the second time tonight produced a script error. Quitting my TUI and restarting allowed the script to run successfully. See PR#789 for more details. The second half observer quit early in twilight so I was able to run some tests on a new set of TUI dither scripts. I found one bug which I corrected and sent the bug fix to the author, Cory Wood at CU. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:36 NICFPS -89( 767) 29 65 11.7 13.3 13.0 12.4 11.9 Ks 0.81 19:42 NA2gdr -1832(41167) 26 66 11.6 13.2 12.9 12.2 11.9 R+nd2 0.98 00:16 NICFPS 0( 664) -95 76 9.6 9.5 10.0 9.2 9.4 Ks 0.67 00:53 NA2gdr -3115(39884) -129 71 9.0 9.1 9.5 8.7 8.9 clear 1.59 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 63 15 24 237 (WSW) 4520 ptly cldy dust 17:00 61 15 21 258 (WSW) 3646 ptly cldy dust 18:00 60 13 28 264 (W) 2909 ptly cldy dust 19:00 57 10 16 264 (W) 2676 ptly cldy dust 20:00 53 7 27 266 (W) 2516 ptly cldy dust 21:00 53 7 25 254 (WSW) 2832 ptly cldy dust 22:00 53 7 24 269 (W) 2038 ptly cldy dust 23:00 52 5 22 257 (WSW) 2195 ptly cldy dust 00:00 50 5 22 266 (W) 1756 ptly cldy none 01:00 49 3 25 269 (W) 1565 ptly cldy none 02:00 48 1 23 268 (W) 1504 ptly cldy none 03:00 47 2 25 269 (W) 1300 mstly clr none 04:00 46 1 17 267 (W) mstly clr none 05:00 46 0 24 267 (W) 1116 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
