Bad news: I had some trouble with the test version of TUI released today 1.5a4 (see PR 779), so I reverted to 1.5a2. Dust levels remained moderately high all night, but not too high to cause problems. Seeing was moderate most of the night becoming highly variable second half. When switching to Apollo in the morning the tertiary clamp failed to close. I homed axis E, position error -000001520, and then moved again to BC1. Seemed to work. There also seemed to be a jump in pointing in the az (=tertrot) direction of 35 arcsec. Apollo reports 4 reflectors. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DD01 A T/H 05:28 05:38 Tert failed to clamp ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:08 dis-slit 83( 137) 160 66 7.6 9.3 8.8 8.0 7.3 1.28 20:07 dis-slit 26( 12) 257 77 8.1 7.9 8.2 7.1 7.5 0.90 00:49 AGILE 76(-275) 31 25 5.8 5.9 6.4 5.2 5.8 1.90 04:47 APOLLO 25( 781) -11 30 4.7 4.2 4.7 3.8 4.4 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 53 17 16 200 (SSW) clear none 17:00 53 16 22 224 (SW) 1959 clear none 18:00 52 14 23 213 (SSW) 1930 clear none 19:00 47 18 15 191 (S) 2070 clear none 20:00 46 14 19 193 (SSW) 2143 clear none 21:00 46 8 17 193 (SSW) 2025 clear none 22:00 46 5 19 205 (SSW) 1934 clear none 23:00 46 7 16 217 (SW) 2029 clear none 00:00 45 12 17 207 (SSW) 2246 clear none 01:00 44 16 18 198 (SSW) 2218 clear none 02:00 42 17 17 233 (SW) 2193 clear none 03:00 42 18 19 233 (SW) 2182 clear none 04:00 41 17 15 251 (WSW) 2127 clear none 05:00 40 17 11 245 (WSW) 2154 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
