Conditions began improving after 11pm. During Apollo time, in-dome tests discovered technical problems. They were not able get on-sky because of technical issues but dust levels were still near closure limits during their time. By 1am weather conditions had been safe for long enough to open, although dust levels remained high all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 48 10 47 271 (W) 14081 mstly clr dust 17:00 48 10 37 267 (W) 9068 mstly clr dust 18:00 47 8 44 284 (WNW) 10097 mstly clr dust 19:00 45 4 40 270 (W) 9529 mstly clr dust 20:00 42 2 32 277 (W) 10807 mstly clr dust 21:00 41 2 27 268 (W) 9203 mstly clr dust 22:00 40 1 25 268 (W) 10861 mstly clr dust 23:00 39 0 22 277 (W) 3623 clear none 00:00 37 -3 17 305 (NW) 3424 clear none 01:00 37 -3 23 300 (WNW) 2223 clear none 02:00 37 4 15 306 (NW) 2205 clear none 03:00 36 7 22 297 (WNW) 2259 clear none 04:00 36 6 18 281 (W) 2388 clear none 05:00 36 4 19 265 (W) 2110 clear none 06:00 35 1 18 265 (W) 1961 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
