Good to mediocre seeing. Adjusting the focus for the NA2 guider with the new version of TUI is much improved. On the very last object of the night the telescope halted because of a rotator controller error (PR#745). Axis Init's kept failing. Strangely, a few slew attempts cleared it(?) No time was actually lost. Agile left mounted for daytime work. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW10 N T/H 05:30 05:45 Rotator Controller Error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 18:36 ECHELLE 189( -733) -34 84 2.5 3.7 2.1 3.1 2.7 1.43 21:01 ECHELLE -32(-1020) -95 54 2.0 2.1 1.8 1.4 2.0 1.33 00:05 NICFPS 22( 337) 159 62 2.7 2.3 2.0 1.8 2.5 0.79 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 40 19 17 298 (WNW) 1142 mstly clr none 17:00 38 18 8 346 (NNW) 724 mstly clr none 18:00 37 17 10 346 (NNW) 657 mstly clr none 19:00 37 17 7 327 (NNW) 724 mstly clr none 20:00 36 18 6 339 (NNW) 743 mstly clr none 21:00 36 17 12 313 (NW) 757 mstly clr none 22:00 36 13 17 327 (NNW) 807 mstly clr none 23:00 37 9 12 346 (NNW) 734 mstly clr none 00:00 37 8 18 318 (NW) 667 mstly clr none 01:00 38 5 1 347 (NNW) 569 mstly clr none 02:00 43 -4 12 347 (NNW) 317 mstly clr none 03:00 39 2 8 325 (NW) 562 mstly clr none 04:00 38 6 10 337 (NNW) 626 mstly clr none 05:00 40 7 16 359 (N) 266 mstly clr none 06:00 40 4 16 357 (N) 249 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
