Although we were open most of the night, the observers struggled with clouds the entire time. The few hours shown as observed are roughly representative of when data was being taken, and even some of that wasn't usable. We closed for a while in the evening when I wasn't sure of some radar returns (and the clouds were fairly thick), and then again shortly before morning twilight when more believable radar returns showed up. The telescope and both instruments behaved well as far as we could tell under the conditions. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:06 TSPEC -50( 183) 24 53 4.2 6.5 5.8 6.0 4.8 Ks 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 43 15 6 316 (NW) 244 ptly cldy none 17:00 41 16 9 305 (NW) 94 ptly cldy none 18:00 40 14 7 290 (WNW) 101 ptly cldy none 19:00 41 13 13 274 (W) 202 ptly cldy none 20:00 43 9 15 286 (WNW) 234 mstly cldy none 21:00 44 11 20 306 (NW) 143 mstly cldy none 22:00 42 22 13 276 (W) 217 ptly cldy none 23:00 41 12 17 269 (W) 235 ptly cldy none 00:00 40 8 16 269 (W) 254 ptly cldy none 01:00 40 12 24 266 (W) 178 mstly cldy none 02:00 39 16 25 269 (W) 232 mstly cldy none 03:00 39 15 26 273 (W) 191 mstly cldy none 04:00 37 14 20 266 (W) 231 ptly cldy none 05:00 37 14 21 264 (W) 272 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 18 19 254 (WSW) 336 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
