AZ velocity scale measured: 580.0 was: 577.0 changed: 580.0 Alt velicity scale measured: -604.1 was: -603.0 changed: -604.0 I noticed that on the Dataq, the Rotator Command voltage and the Altitue motor current plots look very similiar (same bumps and glitches at same times). Are these reading the correct items? The DISslit images (bright stars) had vertical streaks above them. Perhaps the shutter is stuck open? Really bright stars had a bright streak above and a dimmer streak below (the dimmer vertical streak is expected for really bright stars as they saturate the CCD but the bright streak on one side isn't.) See disslit image 328 for an example tonight. PR 918 appended. Not telescope problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:40 dis-sli -127( -252) 16 57 2.8 5.5 4.3 4.1 3.3 -- 1.30 20:06 dis-slit -147( -401) -39 39 1.9 2.3 2.4 1.3 1.9 -- 1.27 21:28 dis-slit -63( -382) 157 68 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.0 1.3 -- 0.90 21:29 NA2gdr 269(22269) 158 68 1.7 1.6 1.8 0.9 1.3 clear 0.77 00:05 dis-slit -73( -443) 116 77 1.5 0.7 1.1 0.2 1.1 -- 1.22 00:06 NA2gdr 34(22034) 116 77 1.3 0.7 1.1 0.2 1.0 clear 0.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 40 11 5 259 (W) 474 clear none 17:00 39 3 11 291 (WNW) 173 clear none 18:00 37 9 10 296 (WNW) 280 clear none 19:00 36 14 5 272 (W) 388 clear none 20:00 36 15 9 290 (WNW) 489 clear none 21:00 35 16 10 264 (W) 594 clear none 22:00 35 17 9 264 (W) 696 clear none 23:00 34 17 10 263 (W) 776 clear none 00:00 34 16 15 267 (W) 591 clear none 01:00 34 15 17 279 (W) 576 clear none 02:00 36 14 16 267 (W) 524 clear none 03:00 34 14 19 285 (WNW) 512 clear none 04:00 35 12 19 312 (NW) 443 clear none 05:00 35 13 15 307 (NW) 548 clear none 06:00 34 14 20 313 (NW) 595 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
