Powercycled UPS stip per Fritz notes. That fixed the problem. Az 577.8 580.0 579.0 Alt -637.9 -636.0 -637.0 During our first slew the rotator failed to move. This time no error was reported it just wouldn't move. Called Fritz, left message. I powercycled the rotator UPS line again (and this time did a set.position 0.0, which might have been the problem earlier). No telescope problems the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PU04 D T/H 20:00 20:20 rotator needed power cycle ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:58 dis-slit 40( -239) -32 53 0.4 2.2 1.5 1.3 0.9 -- 1.50 23:59 dis-slit -16( -376) -29 53 0.7 0.6 0.9 0.2 0.8 -- 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 35 15 10 354 (N) 996 clear none 17:00 33 15 1 309 (NW) 1567 clear none 18:00 33 11 15 313 (NW) 1013 clear none 19:00 32 12 7 292 (WNW) 1211 clear none 20:00 32 13 7 265 (W) 1481 clear none 21:00 34 9 9 263 (W) 1490 clear none 22:00 34 12 12 256 (WSW) 1729 clear none 23:00 34 14 11 234 (SW) 1619 clear none 00:00 33 15 9 225 (SW) 1710 clear none 01:00 33 16 11 225 (SW) 1487 clear none 02:00 32 15 10 232 (SW) 1364 clear none 03:00 32 14 9 237 (WSW) 1305 clear none 04:00 32 15 15 248 (WSW) 1219 clear none 05:00 32 15 9 250 (WSW) 785 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
