Light snow flurries here and there. At switch over TripleSpec was again not mounting properly. That is, it was rubbing against the roller bumpers on the cart while mounted on the telescope. Somehow it seems to have moved forward form this afternoon(?) I took it back off and rotated it on the cart. Rotating one way caused it to roll up against the bumpers on one side with the other loose, and rotating the other way tightened and loosened the sides in reverse. Called Nick, he came up and helped me mount it at an angle about 30 degrees or so where both sides would be clear. When the observer began cals the TSPEC files were all zeros again. Although they had been fine earlier. I toggled the array power command and that seemed to work. TSpec was left on for daytime testing. DIS blue ion pump running quite high. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:02 NICFPS -80(449) 260 76 6.1 6.8 6.3 6.1 5.9 H2-2.12 0.72 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 46 21 21 209 (SSW) 807 mstly cldy none 17:00 42 19 16 193 (SSW) 1136 mstly clr none 18:00 43 18 18 203 (SSW) 1290 mstly clr none 19:00 44 18 13 205 (SSW) 1042 ptly cldy none 20:00 43 18 24 189 (S) 936 cloudy none 21:00 42 22 21 201 (SSW) 785 cloudy none 22:00 40 23 17 229 (SW) 1018 cloudy none 23:00 39 24 30 236 (SW) 1431 cloudy none 00:00 37 21 35 240 (WSW) 1561 cloudy none 01:00 36 21 26 258 (WSW) 1391 cloudy none 02:00 34 21 23 260 (W) 1703 cloudy none 03:00 32 23 20 270 (W) 1430 cloudy none 04:00 32 23 13 252 (WSW) 1219 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
