We only had readings for the magna sensor at 59 deg even though we have been on the sky for a while. Fiege 110 star field didn't look correct but pointing check looked fine. Turned out the bright object was the planet Uranus, with several moons visible. Fiege110 was the "dimmer" star in the field near the boresight. We had bad pointing at changeover, due to a bad magnasensor crossing. I slewed the telescope in Alt to clear the error and that fixed the problem. Relatively poor seeing all night, but not as bad as last nights. DIS blue ion pump running high this morning (again). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:54 DISSlit 10(-354) -71 61 -0.6 0.6 -0.1 -0.3 -0.6 -- 1.3 17:55 NA2gdr -1273(22000) -71 61 -0.7 0.6 -0.1 -0.3 -0.6 R 1.5 19:28 DISSlit -109(-545) -26 54 -1.3 -0.9 -0.9 -1.7 -1.4 -- 1.3 23:57 DISSlit -50(-593) -21 59 -2.1 -3.1 -2.6 -3.4 -2.5 -- 2.5 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 32 -1 12 338 (NNW) 512 clear none 17:00 31 -3 12 359 (N) 595 clear none 18:00 31 -4 15 322 (NW) 483 clear none 19:00 31 -4 15 353 (N) 515 clear none 20:00 29 -3 23 17 (NNE) 507 clear none 21:00 29 -4 23 9 (N) 515 clear none 22:00 28 -3 11 36 (NE) 494 clear none 23:00 26 -6 16 17 (NNE) 713 clear none 00:00 28 -13 20 25 (NNE) 270 clear none 01:00 29 -14 11 46 (NE) 238 clear none 02:00 31 -15 13 3 (N) 203 clear none 03:00 30 -17 15 32 (NNE) 211 clear none 04:00 31 -16 8 28 (NNE) 189 clear none 05:00 31 -16 8 355 (N) 163 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
