The local elctrical utility had a substation problem this afternoon. We were on generator power for approximately 4 hours. This resulted in several problems with the enclosure controller during afternoon checkout. The amplifier would drop out and the dome would collide with the telescope. After a few of these occurances I gave up on test slews. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 45 23 3 275 (W) 976 cloudy none 17:00 44 22 4 287 (WNW) 924 cloudy none 18:00 43 22 1 105 (ESE) 1004 cloudy none 19:00 46 24 8 357 (N) 1329 cloudy none 20:00 46 23 1 8 (N) 1356 cloudy none 21:00 45 23 5 351 (N) 1347 cloudy none 22:00 45 24 5 271 (W) 1252 cloudy none 23:00 45 24 6 228 (SW) 1308 cloudy none 00:00 43 24 5 194 (SSW) 1139 cloudy none 01:00 43 24 11 222 (SW) 1169 cloudy none 02:00 43 26 15 268 (W) 1100 cloudy none 03:00 42 27 12 263 (W) 1367 cloudy none 04:00 41 27 2 300 (WNW) 1203 cloudy none 05:00 41 29 13 290 (WNW) 868 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
