No Change. Worked with Matt N. to bring Triplespec back up after its recent warmup/cooldown. The main instrument Leech Controller would not accept commands until I power cycled it. Images appear normal. Had several tert clamp errors when tried to rotate to various ports tonight, homing E axis resolved each error. Report sent to Nick. Spent the evening collecting data to compare the effect of the new mirror cover paint. Also collected fastcam data and Shack Hartmann data. I was able to reduce the SH data and make an adjustment to collimation. With Russets help we found and corrected a sign error in the SH configuration. A bad sensor in the Control Building Fire Alarm system caused spurous alarms for most of the night. A PR was filed. ------ -FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 23:50 FASTCAM -175(314) -48 76 2.4 3.9 4.0 2.7 2.6 - 1.27 03:00 SHACK -186( 380) -30 56 5.8 3.2 4.1 3.1 4.6 - 1.27 04:37 FASTCAM 250( 758) 92 57 5.4 4.1 4.8 3.5 4.9 - 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 47 31 20 210 (SSW) 18474 mstly cldy fog 17:00 44 30 11 269 (W) 3564 mstly cldy fog 18:00 37 29 8 278 (W) 1404 mstly cldy fog 19:00 40 36 15 296 (WNW) 1882 mstly cldy fog 20:00 38 31 8 343 (NNW) 2247 ptly cldy fog 21:00 37 32 14 35 (NE) 1983 ptly cldy fog 22:00 38 31 18 5 (N) 1893 clear none 23:00 37 31 18 360 (N) 2157 clear none 00:00 37 20 15 6 (N) 2163 clear none 01:00 36 17 27 22 (NNE) 2326 clear none 02:00 37 6 20 30 (NNE) 364 clear none 03:00 42 0 14 53 (NE) 337 clear none 04:00 42 -1 3 275 (W) 114 clear none 05:00 40 -3 7 59 (ENE) 331 clear none 06:00 42 -1 14 77 (ENE) 276 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
