We closed at midnight as radar returns started to appear in the area and the thicker clouds rolled in. We never reopened. At 06:30 it started to snow. We had some computer related problems at the start of the night. The vnc server for the GFP was running painfully slow and required a restart. The Obs-specs main observing computer died at the start of the night. Likely a failed hard drive. I was able to run TUI on my laptop. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:28 GFP 50( 83) 96 50 1.4 3.4 3.1 2.3 1.9 7950 0.68 20:42 GFP 200(117) 87 71 1.3 1.4 1.3 0.8 1.3 5100 0.97 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 38 21 7 230 (SW) 1662 ptly cldy none 17:00 36 21 8 232 (SW) 1487 ptly cldy none 18:00 35 20 14 261 (W) 1336 ptly cldy none 19:00 34 20 9 233 (SW) 1643 ptly cldy none 20:00 35 14 17 265 (W) 1125 ptly cldy none 21:00 35 10 11 257 (WSW) 771 ptly cldy none 22:00 35 11 16 247 (WSW) 606 ptly cldy none 23:00 35 11 19 281 (W) 820 mstly cldy none 00:00 36 8 18 278 (W) 597 mstly cldy none 01:00 36 8 18 265 (W) 726 mstly cldy none 02:00 34 14 18 269 (W) 809 cloudy none 03:00 35 15 18 271 (W) 918 cloudy none 04:00 36 17 11 284 (WNW) 911 cloudy none 05:00 36 18 20 274 (W) 1022 cloudy none 06:00 36 23 23 275 (W) 667 cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
