Gusts reached 32 mph briefly at the max. Second half: NA2 guider looked like the filter wheel was not correctly in place; half the image was lighter than the other with an out-of-focus ghost image. We tried various 'fixes' in between exposures (including a gmech remap) but nothing seemed to really improve things, only move the line and ghost image around. Finally we tried one last gmech remap command followed by a restarting of both gcam nubs, and this seemed to fix the problem. Na2 guider operated normally for the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 18:18 dis-slit -157( -686) 41 48 -7.4 -5.0 -5.6 -6.7 -7.1 - 1.90 20:50 dis-slit -13( -711) -57 45 -8.9 -8.6 -8.3 -9.4 -8.9 - 1.80 23:58 NICFPS 69( -212) -177 51 -10.1 -10.1 -9.7 -10.2 -10.0 - 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 21 1 6 5 (N) 429 clear none 17:00 21 1 7 31 (NNE) 557 clear none 18:00 19 2 10 352 (N) 318 clear none 19:00 17 0 12 336 (NNW) 307 clear none 20:00 17 0 6 339 (NNW) 396 clear none 21:00 16 0 10 354 (N) 353 clear none 22:00 16 0 15 358 (N) 351 clear none 23:00 15 1 12 357 (N) 392 clear none 00:00 14 1 11 358 (N) 392 clear none 01:00 13 -3 16 357 (N) 207 clear none 02:00 12 -6 20 10 (N) 180 clear none 03:00 14 -11 20 14 (NNE) 173 clear none 04:00 13 -12 14 10 (N) 456 clear none 05:00 15 -21 22 22 (NNE) 194 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
