Davenport Was able to open at about 10:45 and stayed open the rest of the night! 2nd half users noticed problems with the DIS guider. It started guiding when they didn't ask it too, and the corresponding images in the guider directory are missing (proc-d0231.fits, for example). We didn't try to figure this out since the guider started behaving normally again right away... We were able to take our throughput measurements on BD +28 with low-res gratings! Look forward to seeing the improvement after shutdown. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:43 DISslit -41(393) 97 51 13.8 15.4 14.2 15.2 12.7 - 1.4 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 66 54 14 226 (SW) 266 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 61 52 13 215 (SW) 287 mstly cldy lt rain 18:00 61 52 11 202 (SSW) 272 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 59 53 17 219 (SW) 299 ptly cldy none 20:00 59 51 14 247 (WSW) 275 mstly clr none 21:00 59 50 16 213 (SSW) 298 mstly clr none 22:00 58 51 8 276 (W) 328 mstly clr none 23:00 58 51 10 269 (W) 417 mstly clr none 00:00 57 51 6 273 (W) 379 mstly clr none 01:00 56 50 9 297 (WNW) 380 clear none 02:00 56 50 7 280 (W) 330 clear none 03:00 56 50 7 269 (W) 381 clear none 04:00 56 49 7 266 (W) 347 clear none 05:00 57 49 12 247 (WSW) 311 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
