The SPIcam sky flats script worked perfectly except my user was running too old a version of TUI and I had to take sky flats for him. It was nice to finally get some final on sky time beta testing done for this script and the SPIcam focus script. The focus script in 1.4b4 worked great as well (I ran it several times during first half). The subframing is the perfect size for the typical star that is picked. I was pleased to see it had no trouble using "Find" with both crowded and sparse fields. At midnight clouds became too thick to observe with SPIcam and we switched to DIS until skies cleared enough at 0030. The clouds again covered the sky for 30 minutes at 0130. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 SPICAM 27(795) 42 61 18.3 18.7 18.0 18.8 18.3 i 0.8 21:02 NA2gdr -222(29777) -86 43 18.2 18.7 18.0 18.6 18.2 clear 0.8 21:58 SPICAM -69(697) -94 31 17.5 17.9 17.5 17.8 17.2 i 1.1 00:47 dis-slit -42(511) -149 42 16.7 16.6 16.2 16.9 16.5 -- 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 69 50 2 194 (SSW) 1352 clear none 17:00 72 50 9 195 (SSW) 1103 ptly cldy none 18:00 68 48 6 206 (SSW) 1099 ptly cldy none 19:00 66 47 11 150 (SSE) 1320 mstly clr none 20:00 65 45 14 136 (SE) 1262 clear none 21:00 65 42 11 135 (SE) 1152 clear none 22:00 63 42 9 122 (ESE) 1122 clear none 23:00 63 44 12 113 (ESE) 1361 clear none 00:00 62 45 8 87 (E) 1619 mstly cldy none 01:00 63 45 7 83 (E) 1623 mstly cldy none 02:00 61 45 9 91 (E) 1849 mstly clr none 03:00 62 45 6 87 (E) 1716 mstly clr none 04:00 63 45 7 83 (E) 1341 clear none 05:00 62 44 9 79 (E) 1452 ptly cldy none 06:00 60 45 12 79 (E) 1705 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
