Davenport Clouds and lightening during the afternoon. We finally opened after some rain at 22:12. Occasional small clouds the rest of the night. Talked briefly with Larry Carey about the Tertiary problems. He advised I look for any pointing problems, which may due to problems with the flexures. No major pointing problems were observed, all targets we slewed too were within an arc-min of the DISslit center. Generally I saw them offset in the Altitude direction. No problems otherwise. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:21 DISslit -42(447) 86 68 15.2 16.4 14.9 16.0 15.8 -- 1.3 01:08 DISslit -39(471) 237 51 16.6 15.9 15.5 16.1 16.2 -- 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 61 47 12 170 (S) 586 mstly cldy none 17:00 69 50 8 227 (SW) 545 mstly cldy none 18:00 64 46 2 226 (SW) 486 mstly cldy none 19:00 63 43 3 276 (W) 488 cloudy none 20:00 57 46 20 71 (ENE) 474 mstly cldy rain 21:00 56 48 9 205 (SSW) 537 ptly cldy none 22:00 59 44 4 185 (S) 557 mstly clr none 23:00 62 46 5 244 (WSW) 573 mstly clr none 00:00 61 45 5 280 (W) 576 clear none 01:00 62 41 6 261 (W) 454 mstly clr none 02:00 62 40 2 265 (W) 475 ptly cldy none 03:00 58 43 7 202 (SSW) 375 clear none 04:00 58 43 1 244 (WSW) 429 clear none 05:00 61 42 1 267 (W) 497 clear none 06:00 59 44 1 224 (SW) 494 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
