A cold front moving in during the last hour of the night, shifting wind and plunging the airtemp, but had little effect on observing because it was the tail-end of the night. Everything worked well (except the echelle QTH lamp, still out of commission). Altitude magnesensor errors were improved by the work done yesterday. Azimuth velocity scales did vary, but not hugely. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:25 Echelle 262(-362) 44 36 12.6 13.58 12.68 12.83 12.69 ND2 0.96 22:20 DISslit 90(259) -152 61 12.1 12.21 11.75 12.16 12.09 -- 0.93 01:10 Echelle 26(-578) -171 55 23.3 22.78 22.24 11.76 11.84 ND2 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ----------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 60 22 29 244 (WSW) 744 clear none 17:00 60 21 22 285 (WNW) 781 clear none 18:00 60 22 35 256 (WSW) 793 clear none 19:00 59 22 20 255 (WSW) 795 clear none 20:00 56 21 19 283 (WNW) 897 clear none 21:00 54 21 14 289 (WNW) 917 clear none 22:00 54 21 14 259 (W) 925 clear none 23:00 54 20 15 305 (NW) 1021 clear none 00:00 54 20 13 305 (NW) 989 clear none 01:00 54 19 14 319 (NW) 1022 clear none 02:00 53 20 9 305 (NW) 1081 clear none 03:00 54 19 11 358 (N) 1111 clear none 04:00 52 19 3 92 (E) 1094 clear none 05:00 47 14 19 75 (ENE) 1511 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
