By midnight the skies had cleared enough for us to open. Seeing was rather poor at greater than 2 arcseconds. Around 12:45 the clouds again moved in which greatly improved the seeing. The skies remainded partly cloudy for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 20:16 apollo 50(1529) 180 46 19.5 20.6 19.8 19.9 19.6 - 1.5 00:13 dis-slit -145(389) 262 49 15.5 16.7 15.5 16.7 16.0 - 2.4 01:18 Echelle -45(-275) 136 58 16.9 17.0 16.4 17.6 17.4 nd2 1.0 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 67 44 2 181 (S) 708 ptly cldy lt rain 17:00 68 34 6 268 (W) 483 mstly clr none 18:00 68 29 1 1 (N) 468 mstly clr none 19:00 71 34 7 269 (W) 515 ptly cldy none 20:00 68 34 7 225 (SW) 594 ptly cldy none 21:00 65 33 6 177 (S) 584 cloudy none 22:00 62 40 26 68 (ENE) 636 cloudy lt rain 23:00 60 35 17 77 (ENE) 401 cloudy none 00:00 60 33 15 80 (E) 339 ptly cldy none 01:00 65 32 10 222 (SW) 537 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 33 9 183 (S) 558 ptly cldy none 03:00 62 37 14 167 (SSE) 617 ptly cldy none 04:00 63 37 12 199 (SSW) 658 ptly cldy none 05:00 61 40 11 187 (S) 815 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
