We closed again around 22:00 for about an hour as a threat passed to our North. DIS red again started warming tonight. It was at -103C at 21:15MDT and by 22:00MDT it was at -79C and rising. Looks like the temp peaked at -64.2C at 23:27MDT and then started dropping again. It went up, it went down (well down to about -84C) at the end of the night it was at -82.7C and slowly rising again. The ion pump did not have any LEDs, above the tape, at the end of the night. No significant problems otherwise. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:35 Echelle 225(-300) 24 57 11.3 12.9 10.9 12.1 11.8 ND3 1.1 23:11 Echelle -34(-611) -55 71 10.6 11.4 10.5 11.0 10.6 ND1 1.0 00:58 DISslit -87(119) 40 74 10.9 10.6 10.0 10.6 10.5 -- 1.0 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 58 40 17 260 (W) 454 cloudy none 17:00 57 39 13 279 (W) 457 cloudy none 18:00 55 37 8 268 (W) 484 cloudy none 19:00 56 38 6 265 (W) 523 pt. cldy none 20:00 53 38 9 269 (W) 534 pt. cldy none 21:00 52 38 8 267 (W) 511 pt. cldy none 22:00 53 37 8 268 (W) 531 clear none 23:00 51 37 3 357 (N) 638 clear none 00:00 52 35 8 344 (NNW) 673 clear none 01:00 52 33 6 356 (N) 513 clear none 02:00 50 34 8 314 (NW) 458 clear none 03:00 50 34 7 297 (WNW) 483 clear none 04:00 50 35 5 268 (W) 491 clear none 05:00 50 35 5 278 (W) 526 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
