Temperature took a nosedive about an hour before sunset, causing the humidity to rise. We observed at the edge of closure limits all first half. Since the primary/secondary were warmer than the other temps, and I didn't feel any condesation on the outside railing I felt it safe to push the limits a bit. The Primary (transverse load cell) was not happy below about 50 deg alt. Humidity closed us down for about an hour at the start of 2nd half. Some pesky clouds came in around 03:30 as well, for about an 30 mins. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:25 DISslit -25(223) 106 68 7.7 12.3 11.9 11.7 9.2 -- 3.0 01:15 SPIcam 0(251) -19 56 5.9 6.9 7.6 7.6 6.2 R 1.8 01:21 NA2gdr -2776(27223) -21 55 5.6 6.8 7.3 7.4 6.2 clear 1.7 02:17 SPIcam 25(283) -43 49 9.7 7.0 7.2 7.6 8.4 R 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 63 34 11 254 (WSW) 1271 clear none 17:00 62 35 9 254 (WSW) 1084 clear none 18:00 60 33 11 266 (W) 1184 clear none 19:00 57 29 7 233 (SW) 1439 clear none 20:00 48 38 14 74 (ENE) 816 clear none 21:00 45 39 11 79 (E) 994 clear none 22:00 44 41 21 75 (ENE) 1454 clear none 23:00 44 41 18 77 (ENE) 2080 clear none 00:00 47 34 7 109 (ESE) 2273 clear none 01:00 44 38 12 72 (ENE) 1816 clear none 02:00 48 31 6 165 (SSE) 1968 clear none 03:00 51 31 10 149 (SSE) 1827 Pt.
