At 21:00 the cloud cover broke, winds subsided and dust levels were below the limits so I opened thinking we would get a few hours before the next system hit the area. The clouds quickly came back and we never got anything useful in the hour and a half we were open. We were forced to close again when the dust counts again climbed above the limit. I spent much of the night creating and updating a new software mask for the cloud camera webpage. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:54 SPIcam 0(197) 185 77 6.9 7.4 4.8 6.5 6.9 R 1.7 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 48 18 20 230 (SW) 2932 cloudy dust 17:00 52 21 21 244 (WSW) 3083 cloudy dust 18:00 49 18 24 237 (WSW) 3007 cloudy dust 19:00 47 20 26 268 (W) 2730 cloudy dust 20:00 46 20 24 268 (W) 2611 cloudy dust 21:00 45 20 20 293 (WNW) 2713 ptly cldy none 22:00 44 22 16 270 (W) 2818 mstly cldy none 23:00 45 20 15 281 (W) 3233 ptly cldy dust 00:00 43 20 17 285 (WNW) 3330 cloudy dust 01:00 43 18 14 272 (W) 3356 cloudy dust 02:00 42 20 13 265 (W) 3479 cloudy dust 03:00 41 20 11 268 (W) 3623 cloudy dust 04:00 40 20 14 242 (WSW) 3546 ptly cldy dust 05:00 39 20 22 262 (W) 3500 mstly clr dust 06:00 39 20 17 208 (SSW) 3389 mstly cldy dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
