Decent seeing. My TUI began repeated crashing at 02:28 (by “crashing” I mean the windows all suddenly disappeared). Jeppe’s file system seemed to be full. I didn’t feel I was qualified to resolve this issue so I worked the rest of the night from Newton. No time was lost, since science continued all the while. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:55 Echelle 311(-538) -65 47 3.5 4.9 3.2 3.3 3.7 ND2 1.1 22:05 NICFPS 35(472) 1 58 4.1 3.8 3.3 3.5 3.8 J 0.8 00:05 Echelle -16(-854) -33 41 4.0 3.8 3.2 3.4 3.9 ND1 1.1 01:10 NICFPS -26(472) -158 34 4.3 3.9 3.2 3.5 4.1 H 1.1 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 40 14 10 352 (N) 322 clear none 17:00 41 13 9 332 (NNW) 392 clear none 18:00 42 13 10 321 (NW) 341 clear none 19:00 41 13 17 300 (WNW) 310 clear none 20:00 38 14 9 262 (W) 294 clear none 21:00 39 13 13 270 (W) 322 clear none 22:00 40 13 13 265 (W) 322 clear none 23:00 40 14 14 284 (WNW) 430 clear none 00:00 40 14 18 293 (WNW) 402 clear none 01:00 40 9 18 281 (W) 428 clear none 02:00 39 13 15 273 (W) 424 clear none 03:00 39 13 12 274 (W) 412 clear none 04:00 39 14 8 278 (W) 414 clear none 05:00 39 12 9 345 (NNW) 408 clear none 06:00 40 11 10 354 (N) 501 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
