Moderate to excellent seeing most of first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: W.Ketzeback Decent seeing the remainder of the night. No problems. The observer ran out of targets by 0600. I used the last 20 minutes of his time to do some on sky tests with Xephem. I found there are still some fundamental problems with the interface that need to be debugged. I sent a report to Matt Nelson. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:40 DISslit 375(584) 208 66 8.6 11.4 11.0 10.5 9.1 --- 1.1 20:15 DISslit -41(149) 119 46 8.4 10.7 9.9 9.6 8.6 --- 1.0 21:15 DISslit -164(-22) 108 61 8.1 9.1 8.3 8.6 7.7 --- 0.9 01:21 dis-slit -1(100) -18 66 9.2 7.7 7.1 7.9 8.3 - 1.0 03:23 dis-slit -10(111) 138 59 8.5 8.3 7.9 8.1 8.3 - 1.2 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 55 32 8 279 (W) 492 clear none 17:00 51 24 7 258 (WSW) 523 clear none 18:00 53 24 6 260 (W) 491 clear none 19:00 50 34 1 245 (WSW) 616 clear none 20:00 47 17 9 317 (NW) 405 clear none 21:00 47 18 6 340 (NNW) 485 clear none 22:00 46 28 5 278 (W) 620 clear none 23:00 48 18 5 270 (W) 462 clear none 00:00 49 14 2 247 (WSW) 381 clear none 01:00 48 11 6 275 (W) 385 clear none 02:00 49 15 12 302 (WNW) 440 clear none 03:00 48 14 9 274 (W) 406 clear none 04:00 46 14 8 348 (NNW) 433 clear none 05:00 47 8 11 321 (NW) 317 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
