There were a few problems of note. The DIS red camera operating temperature rose and fell several times in the afternoon and early evening. It was not clear what the problem was caused by. Nicfps remote pressure monitoring has stopped. There is no indication of the dewars pressure, temperatures are holding steady however. The missing cable tray cover was found, wedged underneath the cats eye mask and laying on the primary mirror tonight when I opened mirror covers. There was one instance of the echelle guider locking up, but that was quickly and easily recovered. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM08 E I/H --:-- --:-- ecam locked up and restarted. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:27 dis-slit 425(474) 173 78 6.1 8.4 6.1 6.6 6.6 - 1.1 18:32 NA2gdr -2909(28190) 177 76 5.9 8.3 6.0 6.4 6.5 R+nd2 0.64 23:56 Echelle -87(-902) 275 78 5.5 5.2 4.7 4.9 5.3 nd2 0.9 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 15:59 44 21 ?? 314 clear none 16:59 42 21 ?? 310 clear none 17:59 43 19 ?? 224 clear none 18:59 40 19 ?? 196 clear none 19:59 42 18 ?? 130 clear none 20:59 41 18 ?? 172 clear none 21:59 43 18 ?? 168 clear none 22:59 43 19 ?? 179 clear none 23:59 42 20 ?? 156 clear none 00:59 43 17 ?? 170 clear none 01:59 42 18 ?? 117 clear none 02:59 41 17 ?? 83 clear none 03:59 41 17 ?? 12 clear none 04:59 42 17 ?? 3 clear none 05:59 41 17 ?? 14 clear none The convention used is north=0 degrees, east=90 degrees.
