Fair seeing with DIS. SPIcam had good seeing (down to 0.8”) for a while, then around 2:00 warm dry air moved in and seriously degraded image quality. Temperatures (and therefore seeing) were unstable the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 19:30 DISslit 47(-247) 192 69 -2.1 -2.1 -2.6 -2.4 -2.1 -- 1.2 00:08 SPIcam -25(-173) 171 80 -1.7 -2.1 -2.8 -2.6 -1.7 r 0.9 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 15:57 30 18 ?? 418 clear none 16:57 30 17 ?? 421 clear none 17:57 28 16 ?? 390 clear none 18:57 28 16 ?? 360 clear none 19:57 29 15 ?? 294 clear none 20:56 29 15 ?? 262 clear none 21:56 29 17 ?? 228 clear none 22:56 29 16 ?? 217 clear none 23:56 29 14 ?? 307 clear none 00:56 29 16 ?? 188 clear none 01:56 32 5 ?? 149 clear none 02:56 34 -4 ?? 146 clear none 03:56 36 -13 ?? 163 clear none 04:56 37 -14 ?? 99 clear none 05:56 38 -10 ?? 31 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
