Icy rain 20:00. Continued high humidity, light precipitation rest of 1st half. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half had continued clouds and high humidity. Rain started around 3 am, then turned to snow. It was just beginning to stick (about half an inch) when I did morning checkout, so without thinking I parked in the normal position instead of facing south. At dawn it was just a little too cold for the roof heaters, but they might be helpful later in the day. Both the 3.5m and the Sloan dewpoint sensor appeared to max out at a dewpoint of 0C, refusing to measure higher than that. Not a problem right now, as the temperatures are below freezing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 15:58 42 27 ?? 529 cloudy none 16:58 40 28 ?? 549 cloudy none 17:58 40 28 ?? 799 cloudy none 18:58 38 30 ?? 555 cloudy none 19:58 38 32 ?? 626 cloudy lt rain 20:58 36 32 ?? 652 cloudy humid 21:58 35 31 ?? 584 cloudy humid 22:58 34 32 ?? 496 cloudy humid 23:58 33 32 ?? 548 cloudy humid 00:58 32 32 ?? 585 cloudy humid 01:58 31 31 ?? 490 cloudy fog 02:58 30 30 ?? 72157 cloudy lt rain 03:58 30 30 ?? 6519 cloudy lt snow 04:58 28 27 ?? 387 cloudy lt snow 05:58 27 27 ?? 562 cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
